Indianapolis, Indy and Naptown are all known nicknames for our beloved state capitol! And just like the meanings and derivations of each nickname comes a distinct blogger type. Our bloggers come from all walks of life and blogging areas. As a Regional Director I always say, "To be a Blogger you have to live a life worth blogging about!" So I make sure to host great events in scenic locations where you can socialize with your Blogger Friends as well as get knowledge from some of the best Bloggers doing it!
Our motto: Always live your Best Life.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR: INDIA RIAS-THOMPSON
Founder and Content Creator for Dude. We're Married! India, who goes by Haighlove (Hey-Love), began her blogging career in 2015 by interning for The Strength of SHE. In December of 2016 she launched her own blog with her Wife Trice to show a positive image of Black Love between two Married Queer Women of Color.
"I found that in looking for a place to find relatable stories and advice for a same-sex married couple who were women of color was far and few between. We were the intersection of those things and so we became who we needed."
-India, on how DWM! began
India is a self-proclaimed serial hobbyist and is willing to try any arts and crafts pin on Pinterest once! She also enjoys buying overpriced coffee and way too many buttered croissants at her local coffee shop where she feels like a hip and trendy millennial living on a coast, even though she's landlocked in Indy. Traveling with her Wife (and Best Friend) is hands down the best time spent, because "she's the absolute coolest person I've ever met and I don't know how I got so lucky!" And also because road trips are great for the soul!

**UPDATE FOR OCTOBER**
Next month we'll be hosting our second event where we will be focusing on Pitching!
Pitching can be defined as contacting a businesses, brands and bloggers/influential people to establish a beneficial relationship where both parties come out ahead.
Ex. Our first event "Bloggin' Aint Easy" was sponsored by Punch Bowl Social and Couture Cocktails. PBS sponsored the venue, food, beverages and games. Couture Cocktails provided giveaways to two participants. I provided for both of the sponsors advertisement, exposure, visibility and networking with Indianapolis' Black Blogging community. Since the event there's been 4 orders placed for Couture Cocktails and several events, parties, and patronage to PBS by bloggers who attended generating both revenue and additional exposure for both sponsors.
To stay updated on this event, (and future ones), be sure to subscribe to our newsletter below.
